The original building on the right bank of the Kazanka River resembles a large stylized bowl. There is a luxurious wedding palace and an excellent observation deck from which it is pleasant to admire the sights of Kazan.

Construction history and architecture features

The Kazan family center was built in 2012-2013 according to the author's project of the architect and sculptor from Buryatia Dasha Balzhanovich Namdakov. The place for the new city registry office was an embankment site on a round peninsula. The construction took exactly 500 days.

The miracle building looks like a huge Asian cast cauldron above a high arched tagan. From time immemorial, such cauldrons have been used to prepare various dishes in all countries of Central Asia. As conceived by the architect, the unusual building symbolizes the respectful attitude of the Tatar people to the family and family values.

Kazan center is very beautiful in the dark, when the bright evening lights turn on. Powerful spotlights color the picturesque "cauldron" in different colors, and the illusion is created that tongues of flame are burning under the cauldron. Spectacular lighting can be seen from different parts of Kazan.

Interior decoration

The spacious hall on the ground floor is decorated in the tradition of the Volga Bulgaria - a medieval state, which flourished in the X-XIII centuries. The second floor is finished in the 19th century style and emphasizes the refined atmosphere of classicism. The third floor of the building is dedicated to the Kazan Khanate, historical values and traditions of Kazan.

Three halls for registration of marriage - gold, silver and oriental have individual decor and color schemes. They can fit from 25 to 40 people, and the solemn ceremony costs from 4,100 to 4,700 rubles (2020).

Viewpoint

There is a two-level observation deck at the top of the building. Walls and towers are clearly visible from a height of 32 m Kazan Kremlin, ancient temples, nearby areas and the Kremlin embankment. Fewer people come here on weekdays.

Keep in mind that the historic city center is far enough away, on the other side of the river. It's best to use a telephoto lens to get good shots!

The observation deck is open in the warm season from 10:00 to 22:00, entrance for adults costs 150 rubles, and for tourists under 18 years old - 100 rubles (2020). Only cash is accepted, you cannot pay with a card. The site is located at the level of 8-9 floors, and you have to climb there on foot, using the stairs. It is not very convenient for aged travelers and parents with small children. There is no air conditioning, it is very hot upstairs in summer.

The area around

Citizens and tourists like to walk along neat paths and a fenced embankment near the Kazan center. Near the building you can see green lawns, comfortable benches and beautiful flower beds. From year to year, the Days of the City and the Republic, sports and cultural events are held here, and in winter they build a "Snow Town" with slides and ice sculptures.

Several years ago, a new work by Dashi Namdakov was installed near the Kazan. Now the main Tatar registry office is decorated with a pair of winged creatures - zilants and a leopard with cubs. Expressive sculptures of mythological dragons and a formidable beast symbolize loyalty between spouses and the strength of family ties.

Nearby, on the right bank of the Kazanka, there are beaches where residents of the city like to sunbathe. The Kyrlay family amusement park is located across the street from the Kazan center.
